Assistant, laboratory - applied chemistry

EMSL is seeking a Laboratory Assistant in Montreal, QC. No laboratory experience is required, just a desire to learn technical skills and become proficient in common laboratory practices and procedures. On-the-job training will be provided for all new employees. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Receive environmental samples and enter Chain of Custody into LIMS system • Review paperwork for all incoming samples to ensure completeness and correctness • Quality control of samples to ensure sample integrity • Transfer samples based on priority to appropriate custody locations • Coordinate and perform sample-related activities, including shipping and receiving, processing and administration • Generate reports, invoices, and enter data produced by analysts into the computer system for the production of the final, client ready report • E...
