Job description
This is primarily a remote position, ideal for someone who values independence, flexibility, and a healthy work-life balance. The position will begin as an 8-month temporary, part-time role at approximately 1520+ hours per week (with seasonal variance). There is the possibility of permanent employment for the right candidate.
We're looking for someone who is highly detail-oriented, takes pride in their work, enjoys solving problems, and has a genuine interest in building code, construction, and residential design.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing detailed, permit-ready construction drawings
- Applying the National Building Code of Canada (NBCC) and relevant - - Saskatchewan building requirements to residential projects
- Reviewing projects for compliance with applicable municipal bylaws and permitting requirements
- Coordinating with engineers, energy consultants, contractors, and other project professionals
- Assist with preliminary design drawings
- Taking increasing ownership of projects from design through completion
Required:
- Architectural Technologist Diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of relevant experience
- Proficiency with AutoCAD
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate work
- Strong working knowledge of the National Building Code of Canada
- Strong knowledge of Saskatchewan residential building practices
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines
- Valid driver's license

- Experience with Revit
- Experience with Chief Architect
- Experience with 3D rendering software
- Experience with residential design and construction
- Experience with residential permitting and municipal requirements
- Interest in improving business processes, workflows, and drawing standard
