Job description

Education: Registered Apprenticeship certificate. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Various locations. Residential. Relocation costs covered by employer. Willing to relocate. Tasks: Install domestic, commercial or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems. Repair domestic, commercial or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems. Cut opening in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings. Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement or soldering, brazing and welding equipment. Schedule personnel, tools and equipment. Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges. Estimate costs and materials. Measure, cut, thread and bend pipes to required shape and size. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Driver's License (Class 3 or D). Apprenticeship training: Level one apprenticeship training. Level two apprenticeship training. Level three apprenticeship training. Level four apprenticeship training. Policy and program experience: Apprenticeship training. Transportation/travel information: Vehicle supplied by employer. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Hand-eye co-ordination. Handling heavy loads. Own tools/equipment: Tools.
