Apartment building maintenance worker

Education: College/CEGEP. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: All weather conditions. Work setting: Apartment/condominium complex. Various locations. Hotel, motel, resort. Restaurant. Tasks: Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris and other refuse. Empty trash cans and other waste containers. Perform minor repairs on appliances. Show apartments and offices to prospective tenants. Move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies. Perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair. Work with minimal supervision. Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas. Equipment: Carpet cleaning machine. Power tools. Snowblower. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Work under pressure. Repetitive tasks. Handling heavy loads. Physically demanding. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Weight handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
