The Administrative Support IV - Bed Planning Clerical position is an integral role within the University of Alberta Hospital- Integrated Operations Centre (UAH-IOC). The position works alongside the Site Managers, Bed Coordinators, and the clerical staff with Admitting. Working under the general supervision and guidance of the Site Manager, the position performs complex clerical duties related to patient bed allocation, admission, direct admission, and transferring of patients. The successful candidate is responsible for accurately placing admissions according to diagnosis and isolation requirements. The position serves as a point of initial contact for physicians seeking admission of patients to hospital through any of the Main or Emergency Admitting areas.
