Administrative assistant

Avestin, Inc. is a manufacturer of pharmaceutical equipment. We have a clean, bright facility in Ottawa, Ontario, and manufacture precision components for customers worldwide. We are looking for a hard-working individual to be part of our team. Candidate must be highly motivated, enthusiastic and willing to take on new challenges. Must be flexible and able to adapt well to changing tasks and responsibility. This opening is a full-time, permanent, day shift position. *Qualifications:* * Candidates should have an undergraduate degree. * 1?3 years of administrative or office experience preferred. * Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook. *Key Responsibilities:* * Provide general administrative and clerical support to management and staff. * Answer and direct phone calls, emails, and other correspondence. * Organize and maintain electronic and physical files and records. * Enter, update, and maintain accurate information in databases and spreadsheets. * Order supplies and monitor inventory levels. * Assist with processing invoices, expense reports, purchase orders, and other administrative documentation. * Assist with travel arrangements and other logistical requirements. * Support special projects and other administrative activities as assigned. * Ability to lift and carry packages and materials as required for shipping and receiving duties. *Candidates should be:* * Accurate, and pay attention to detail * Flexible and willing to do a variety of tasks * Organized and punctual *Language:* Ability to speak French, Spanish or Mandarin is an asset.
