Accounting technician

*Van Isle Windows Ltd*. is looking for a dynamic Accounting Technician to join our Finance team! Victoria, BC | Full Time |Permanent Salary: $52,000 - $55,000 annually plus comprehensive benefits Hours of work: 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, (some overtime required to meet deadlines) As a key member of the Finance team, this role is responsible for managing accounts payable, maintaining accurate purchasing and inventory records, cost accounting and processing payments with a high degree of accuracy. Reporting to the Controller, the Accountant will administer accounts payable and inventory, prepare monthly sales tax remittances for review, manage accounts payable and general ledger activities, including journal entries, reconcile monthly balance sheet accounts, analyze general ledger accounts each month, assist with month-end close and financial reporting, and perform other duties as assigned. *Who we are: *With our factory based in Victoria, BC we are the largest local manufacturer and installer of quality vinyl windows and patio doors on Vancouver Island and have been serving Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands since 1978.
