Job description
The Ministry of Social Services, Community Living Service Delivery (CLSD), is seeking a permanent part-time Occupational Therapist (60%) in Moose Jaw. This role offers the opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary clinical team supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities to live independently and participate fully in their communities. The position provides flexible hours, professional development, leadership opportunities, and involvement in program and service delivery improvements.
The ideal candidate is collaborative, inclusive, adaptable, and committed to positive client outcomes. They will provide leadership to support persons and students while building strong relationships with clients, families, professionals, and community partners.
Candidates must be registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Society of Occupational Therapists and eligible for membership with the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists. Strong knowledge of occupational therapy assessments, interventions, treatment planning, and evidence-based practice is required. Experience with intellectual disabilities, mental health, sensory needs, seating/positioning, or home accessibility is an asset. A valid Class 5 driver's licence is required.
Strong communication, critical thinking, organizational, interpersonal, digital, and problem-solving skills are essential. Responsibilities include providing occupational therapy services, conducting assessments, developing intervention plans, delivering training, managing resources within budget, maintaining documentation, and supporting client and staff safety.
