Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work setting: Various locations. Tasks: Inspect, measure and mark surfaces to be covered. Measure, cut and fasten underlay and underpadding. Measure, cut and install resilient floor coverings. Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings. Conduct moisture, ph, temperature and other tests prior to flooring installations. Estimate costs and materials. Prepare floors for installations. Install materials on counter tops and raised platforms. Install vinyl decking materials. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Hand-eye co-ordination. Personal suitability: Client focus. Organized. Team player.
