Job description

Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work site environment: Noisy. Dusty. Tasks: Compute dimensions, sizes, shapes and tolerances of workpieces . Inspect final products. Verify machined parts for conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments. Program CNC machine tools. Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications. Lay out, shape and assemble patterns of metal, wood, plastic and other materials from blueprints, models or templates. Set up and operate conventional and computer controlled machine tools. Patternmaking experience: Metal patternmaking. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Handling heavy loads. Manual dexterity. Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Standing for extended periods. Physically demanding. Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Safety glasses/goggles. Gloves. Ear plugs. Personal suitability: Accurate. Efficient interpersonal skills. Excellent oral communication. Organized. Team player. Initiative.
