Our team culture values collaboration, growth, and technical excellence. *Job Summary* Voyager Controls is seeking an experienced Project Manager with a solid background in HVAC and Building Automation Systems (BAS) to own project delivery from design through commissioning. This is a project-ownership role, not a field-coordination role - you'll be accountable for schedule, budget, scope, and subcontractor/GC relationships on multiple concurrent BAS installations across the GTA. Key Responsibilities *Project Ownership* * Own BAS/HVAC projects end-to-end: kickoff, execution, commissioning, and closeout * Build, maintain, and report on project schedules, milestones, and budgets * Track project financial performance - costs, change orders, and margin - and flag variances early * Manage RFIs, RFQs, and submittals through to resolution * Serve as primary point of contact for General Contractors, consultants, and subcontractors *Technical Coordination* * Review BAS project documentation, including specifications, mechanical, electrical, and controls drawings * Identify design or scope discrepancies and drive solutions with engineering and field teams * Coordinate and support installation teams and subcontractors on site * Oversee commissioning activities and confirm system performance meets design intent *Communication & Compliance* * Provide regular, clear project status updates to internal stakeholders and clients * Ensure adherence to company standards, safety regulations, and industry best practices Qualifications & Experience * Degree or diploma in Engineering, Mechanical Systems, Controls, or a related field (or equivalent industry experience) * 3?5 years of project management experience in HVAC, BAS, or controls * Strong understanding of HVAC systems, DDC controls, and BAS architecture * Demonstrated experience owning project budgets, schedules, and change-order/RFI processes * Exposure to BAS platforms such as Johnson Controls FX (Facility Explorer), Honeywell, Carrier i-Vu, or Niagara N4 * Experience managing or coordinating with General Contractors, consultants, or subcontractors on active construction sites * Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Visio) * Comfortable working on active construction sites and travelling to job sites across the GTA * Valid G Driver's License and access to a vehicle Preferred Skills * Hands-on experience with BAS installation, programming, or commissioning * Familiarity with Zoho Projects or a comparable PM platform (Procore, MS Project, Primavera) - willingness to adopt Zoho Projects is required * BAS certification or relevant professional training * Experience managing multiple concurrent projects * Working knowledge of risk management and cost control practices What We Offer * Competitive compensation based on experience * Work on cutting-edge BAS and smart building projects * Supportive, growth-focused work culture * Opportunity to make a meaningful impact on sustainability and energy efficiency Equal Opportunity Statement Voyager Controls is an equal opportunity employer.
