Technologist, architectural

This is primarily a remote position, ideal for someone who values independence, flexibility, and a healthy work-life balance. The position will begin as an 8-month temporary, part-time role at approximately 1520+ hours per week (with seasonal variance). There is the possibility of permanent employment for the right candidate. We're looking for someone who is highly detail-oriented, takes pride in their work, enjoys solving problems, and has a genuine interest in building code, construction, and residential design.Your responsibilities will include:- Preparing detailed, permit-ready construction drawings- Applying the National Building Code of Canada (NBCC) and relevant - - Saskatchewan building requirements to residential projects- Reviewing projects for compliance with applicable municipal bylaws and permitting requirements- Coordinating with engineers, energy consultants, contractors, and other project professionals- Assist with preliminary design drawings- Taking increasing ownership of projects from design through completion Required:- Architectural Technologist Diploma or equivalent- 3+ years of relevant experience- Proficiency with AutoCAD- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate work- Strong working knowledge of the National Building Code of Canada- Strong knowledge of Saskatchewan residential building practices- Strong written and verbal communication skills- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines- Valid driver's license Assets:- Experience with Revit- Experience with Chief Architect- Experience with 3D rendering software- Experience with residential design and construction- Experience with residential permitting and municipal requirements- Interest in improving business processes, workflows, and drawing standard See havenhomedesign.ca/current-positions for full job posting.
