Residential construction painter

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work site environment: Outdoors. At heights. Work setting: Various locations. On-site customer service. Tasks: Prepare, clean and sand surfaces to be painted. Repair cracks and holes. Mix paint to desired colour and texture. Advise consumers on colours and choice of wall coverings. Erect scaffolding and swing stages and attach rigging. Apply paint, wallpaper and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces. Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages. Select appropriate paint or mix paints. Clean and prepare surfaces. Determine materials required. Equipment and machinery experience: Airless spray equipment. Brush painting. Conventional spray painting. Roller painting. Surface preparation experience: Drywall taping/patching. Coating/application specialization: Aggregate painting. Multi-color finishes. Paint spraying. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Drug test. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail.
