*Pet Groomer* We are looking for a skilled and caring Pet Groomer to join our grooming team. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with different breeds, coat types, and temperaments, and takes pride in providing safe, quality grooming services and a positive experience for both pets and their owners. *What You?ll Do* * Complete a variety of grooming appointments, including baths, drying, brushing, nail care, trimming, clipping, and styling. * Discuss grooming requests with pet parents and tailor each appointment to the pet?s coat, condition, breed, and the owner?s preferences. * Examine coats and skin before and during grooming and communicate any noticeable concerns to the pet parent when appropriate. * Safely restrain and handle dogs and other pets throughout the grooming process while maintaining a calm and comfortable environment. * Clean, disinfect, and maintain grooming tables, tubs, tools, and the surrounding workspace between appointments. * Keep pet information and appointment details accurate and up to date. * Provide friendly, professional service and answer basic questions about coat maintenance and grooming care. * Follow proper hygiene, safety, and animal-handling procedures at all times. *What We?re Looking For* * Previous professional grooming experience is preferred; at least 1 year is an asset. * Comfortable working with a variety of dog breeds and coat types. * Experience with breed-specific grooming and styling is an asset. * Comfortable handling larger dogs and pets with different personalities and temperaments. * Cat grooming experience is an asset but not needed. * Confident using professional grooming equipment, including clippers, shears, brushes, dryers, and bathing equipment. * Patient, gentle, and attentive when working with animals. * Professional and approachable when dealing with customers. * Good attention to detail and pride in the quality of your work. * Pet First Aid certification is an asset. * Grooming certification is an asset but is not mandatory. *Compensation & Benefits* * Commission-based compensation or hourly compensation depending on experience and arrangement. * Flexible scheduling based on availability and appointment demand. * Grooming equipment and products provided. * Supportive working environment. * Employee/staff discounts. * Opportunity for additional hours as grooming demand grows. *Hours* Expected hours: approximately 8?40 hours per week, depending on availability and appointment volume. *How to Apply* Please send us your resume.
