*Job Overview* We are seeking a detail-oriented and friendly Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. This role involves providing exceptional administrative support within a busy medical or dental practice, ensuring smooth daily operations. The ideal candidate will have experience with electronic medical records, office management, and front desk duties, contributing to an organized and welcoming environment for patients and staff alike. *Duties* * Greet patients and visitors professionally at the front desk, creating a positive first impression * Manage multi-line phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and relay messages efficiently * Utilize electronic medical records systems such as Epic and Dentrix to update patient information accurately * Assist with check-in and check-out procedures, verifying insurance details and collecting payments when necessary * Maintain organized patient charts and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information * Support clinical staff with administrative tasks as needed, including preparing paperwork and managing correspondence * Coordinate appointment scheduling to optimize provider availability and reduce patient wait times * Ensure the reception area remains clean, organized, and welcoming at all times *Qualifications* * Prior experience as Medical Office Assistant is highly preferred * Proficiency with electronic medical records systems such as Epic and Dentrix * Strong knowledge of medical terminology and office procedures * Excellent communication skills, including experience handling multi-line phone systems * Demonstrated ability to manage front desk operations efficiently in a fast-paced environment * Office experience in healthcare settings is desirable * Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining attention to detail * Strong organizational skills and professionalism in patient interactions This position offers an opportunity to be part of a dedicated healthcare team committed to providing quality patient care through efficient administrative support.
