This position offers an energetic atmosphere where your culinary talents can thrive and make a real difference. *Responsibilities* * Prepare and cook a variety of meals with precision, creativity, and consistency during daytime shifts (generally 6am-2pm) * Handle food with care, following all safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure quality and safety standards are met * Assist with food service operations by plating and packing dishes attractively and efficiently for catering services * Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and storage spaces * Follow recipes accurately while also demonstrating flexibility to accommodate special requests or dietary needs * Ensure consistent quality, preparation and presentation of all food products * Monitor food inventory levels and communicate supply needs to ensure smooth kitchen operations * Adhere to all food handling regulations and safety protocols to prevent contamination or spoilage * Must be able to commute to our Nepean kitchen for a 6am start *Experience* * Previous experience in food preparation or cooking within a restaurant or food service environment is highly preferred * Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures is essential * Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail * 1-2 years of previous kitchen experience in the food industry provides a strong foundation for success in this role Join us as a Daytime Cook and bring your culinary passion to life!
