Job description
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work site environment: At heights. Noisy. Outdoors. Work setting: Construction. Various locations. Renovation. Commercial. Tasks: Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements. Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials. Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems. Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware. Instruct apprentices. Supervise other workers. Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments. Supervision: 1 to 2 people. Transportation/travel information: Travel expenses paid by employer. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Bending, crouching, kneeling. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Physically demanding. Tight deadlines. Work with minimal supervision. Personal suitability: Accurate. Judgement. Reliability. Team player. Punctuality. Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years.
