Aroi Thai is a modern Thai restaurant in Leslieville, Toronto, and we are looking for an experienced and passionate *Chef specializing in Thai cuisine* to join our team. Our current Head Chef will be transitioning out of the role at the end of the year, and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with him during the transition period and learn our menu, recipes, preparation methods, and kitchen standards. Responsibilities * Prepare and execute high-quality Thai dishes according to Aroi Thai?s recipes and standards * Work closely with management to maintain and develop the restaurant?s menu * Ensure consistency in taste, quality, portioning, and presentation * Train, supervise, and support kitchen staff in food preparation and cooking techniques * Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen * Monitor inventory, food quality, and food costs * Assist with ordering and maintaining appropriate stock levels * Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and kitchen safety standards are followed * Help maintain a positive and professional kitchen environment Requirements * Proven experience working as a Thai Chef or in a senior Thai kitchen role * Strong knowledge of Thai cuisine, ingredients, and cooking techniques * Ability to consistently execute dishes to a high standard * Strong leadership and communication skills * Ability to train and mentor kitchen staff * Excellent organization and time management * Passion for Thai cuisine and attention to detail * Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment What We Offer * A structured transition and training period with our current Head Chef * The opportunity to take a leading role in an established Thai restaurant * A collaborative working environment * Opportunity to contribute ideas and creativity to our menu and kitchen operations If you are an experienced Thai Chef looking for an opportunity to lead a kitchen and grow with Aroi Thai, we would love to hear from you.
